Saw saw and read this whole thing online and still can't understand what's going on. Seems there is some sort of battle between accepting and not accepting refugees in Sandpoint?

So are there refugees being relocated in Sandpoint or not?

I believe the Sandpoint mayor and/or city council was making a political statement. I'm not aware of any plans to relocate any refugees to Sandpoint.

I think you're right as regards to the mayor making a political statement, one at odds with the wishes of the vast majority of residents of the county. [MOD CUT]

It sounds as if Sandpoint's mayor and city council care as little about the residents of the county as does Angelica Merkel does for the people of Germany.

The OP's question was about Sandpoint accepting refugees. This topic has already devolved into two locked threads, so we are not going to have any commentary not directly relevant to the OP's question.
