Hello all I'm considering moving out of Oregon for several reasons and would like to start gathering information about places I think I would like to live. In doing my search I have discovered Sand Point and the CDA area. I like what I see so far and would like as much info that I can. To start off my questions:

How doable is it to work in Sand Point and live in Newport WA? (I can see there are some benefits to living in WA vs ID as far as taxes go.)

How is this road in the winter for driving into S.P. 5 days a week for work?

Is there anyone out there who does this regularly?

Thanks

Yes, my husband does. We live north of Priest River and he commutes to Sandpoint. The county takes very good care of the road in winter. The only time he had a problem was a couple of years ago when a section of the road near the Dover bridge washed out. Then he had to take the long way around via Dufort Rd. Obviously, that was an very unusual occurence.
