We'll be making a drive from MI to OR and want to plan some stops along the way. Our route will take us along I-84.

Anything we should stop and see? Keeping in mind we have 3 kids under 11!

Thanks!
Jen

Craters of the Moon

Giant Perrine Bridge north of Twin Falls.

Lava Hot springs 25 miles or so from the freeway but worth it for Giant hot pool.

How much time do you have ?

Thousand Springs - Idaho Scenic Byway

Three Island crossing State park near Glens Ferry.

I like to stop at Malad Gorge (mile 147), there's a little rest area and a footbridge goes over the gorge.

Oh, and +1 for Craters of the Moon.

Malad Gorge is good yes, but you can also take the 1000 springs scenic route which loops from twin falls back onto i-84 at bliss. It will be a two lane highway that goes down into the snake river canyon where you can see all the water falls coming out of the cliff sides into the river. Also there is a place called Miracle springs where you can stop and take the kids swimming in hot spring water. They also have alligators in an enclosure that live in the warm spring water that you can see and they feed them on saturdays.. Kids love that place
