It's weird -- because Cesar Chavez and the UFW were trying to bring up wages and working conditions for American farm workers but the open-borders-cheap-labor-proponents have done everything to destroy that movement and have succeeded.
They have opened the borders, and allow millions of the cheapest labor over -- supposedly to take those fewer than 800,000 farming jobs and of course to bring down the wages of those jobs and then sneer at Americans because Americans really don't want to work 60 hour a week but seasonal jobs for just $4 or $5 an hour with no overtime pay.
Obviously very few illegals work in agriculture as there are fewer than 800,000 total jobs in agriculture.
The cheap-labor proponents who want to replace Americans with much cheaper labor of course don't want to come out and admit that their beloved and of course very cheap illegals are working in factories, fast food and other restaurants, in stores, and any business that doesn't want to pay decent wages.
