Add in the social programs and it's certainly higher. As in the article, "It's an expensive luxury." The people benefitting are taking complete advantage of the tax payers.

Really,OP?
CT has THAT many illegal aliens living there?
I mean there are enough illegals in the state of CT to make that much of a difference in the budget?
How is that possible?
Are you familiar w/ the term "hyperbole?"
How about conflation?
Or falsehood?
Don't you think that those terms fit that article?

Please show us proof that there aren't that many illegals in the state of CT. Do you know something the rest of us don't?

Ya, and there have been exactly 11 million Illegals in the US, year after year, since 2000. You believe that? They are leaving some States due to the fact they have become such a problem (AZ) the States are taking action. CT is a likely outlet for those people leaving.
According to the research (linked below) conducted by the Pew Spanish Center, there are 424,000 Hispanics in Connecticut, of which 28% are foreign-born. Of that 28%, 46% are without insurance.
The Pew Spanish Center has lots of statistics on illegal immigration, legal immigration, and crime stats with regard to illegal immigration, if anyone is interested to read up on it.

I believe you're missing an obvious factor. Not all illegals are Mexican and just because you don't see Mexicans in CT doesn't mean there aren't many illegals there. They could be from African nations, they could be Irish, Asian or whatever.
With over 30 million illegals throughout the USA, almost none of them paying their medical bills or contributing much of anything because it's the low wages that bring them here, low wages only illegals can live on because illegals are happy to live off food stamps, government housing and all the rest. But - they aren't all from just one country or ethnicity.
You are absolutely wrong. Illegals aren't as stupid as you think and do you really believe they don't declare many exemptions for federal income tax and do you really believe that those working as independent contractors or cash under the table are sending in their income taxes or social security taxes? And someone dishonest enough to hire illegals isn't likely honest enough to actually send in the taxes even if they do deduct them from paychecks. Illegals might pay some sales tax but that's about it.
And regardless of what taxes they may pay it doesn't even come close to covering their social costs. The costs alone for the birthing of their numerous babies is astronomical.
So, if an illegal is paying taxes with a fake SS number, what happens when the legit holder of that # files for a refund ?
