Can an illegal Please answer this?

Why is it that you protest for US citizenship here but don't protest for
better living conditions from where you came from. It would make more sense
to make where you were born a better place than to leave for the US. I know
it might be harder but that is your motherland. Why not make it a place to
be proud of. Assuming you are leaving your motherland for better
opportunity.

It seems most of the protesters really hate the USA and want it to become
part of Mexico. If you all left back to Mexico and started your protest/work
hard there, you might just have a place to call home, legally.

Please help me with understanding why you protest here and work hard HERE in
the USA and not back home. And don't tell me its impossible either, if you
all work as hard in your own country, you too can have a counrty as great as
the USA.

I'm sure I will get a responce with some BS but would love to hear it
anyway.

Thank you.

My guess is Mexico wouldn't put up with their protests!! Good Old Bush
will though... he'll put border guards in prison who try to arrest them...
yep, good old USA is where Illegals can really feel at home. Too bad our
own citizens are feeling LESS at home. But we still have to pay taxes
for whatever Bush decides he wants to pay for...with our money. Like
Social Security for illegals etc.... we earn the money and Bush gives it
away to illegals who pay no taxes? Now that's not fair.

You don't like illegal immigration?

This site makes it extremely easy to send faxes to all your repersentatives!

I have alway thought that if you send all 12 -15 million illegals back to Mexico, they would rise up and change it by their numbers.

That's great but I've personally sent about 50 different emails to my governor,
my congresswoman, my two senators, the White House, and called a bunch
of congressmen and women that I'm not in their district. I really don't think
Bush or very many in government even care what we think! I am going to
make it a point to vote against the ones that I can.... like Barbara Boxer
for sure. The White House and Bush could care less. Everyone wanted
Attorney General a loyal Bushie to resign.... Bush doesn't care!! He flat
out said "Gonzales Stays" He's the most arrogant President ever in office.
And SADLY I voted for him!

That is an excellent question, but doesn't necessarily have to be answered by an illegal. The legal immigrants who have gone through the naturalization might give some insight as well.

Changing a govt. system is not easy. I had friends who came from El Salvador and the stories they told were beyond our comprehension. An example is the El Salvador military coming into their villages and "enlisting" every male over 14 at gunpoint. And teachers or any other educated person was targeted and killed because they "might" oppose the tyranny.

I think you may have hit on the most viable answer to the immigration problem.

Other nations toil under tyranny for years. Until something or someone comes along to lead the revolt. Now that millions of illegals have chosen to leave their country and experience freedom, maybe they will want the same for their countrymen.

Good thread junkman18.

They protest here because they know they can.
There are people in America that are all too willing to use them for their own personal gains.
They say they are proud, but if they were really proud they would have never left. They are cowards too sheepish and lazy to change their country. Instead they invade ours.
As for hard working. There is no doubt that they are hard workers, but this country wasn’t build on hard workers alone. This country was built by innovators. People that filled a niche, made a better mouse trap. This is the American way, always has been. Take a look at Mexico and you wont find much if this. That’s why there are no opportunities in Mexico and the main reason we don’t need them taking over this country.
We already have a Mexico, there’s no reason to make a new one in America.

I see many protests in both S. America and Mexico these days...another one a few days ago. So, apparently they are allowed to protest now. They also are not quiet protesters as we Americans are by enlarge here. The presidential elections in Mexico produced fierce protests long after the election. A group even took over a Mexican town a few months ago...the government finally responded.
