I really hope that all of these bills pass. If any Republican does not vote for them, then Texans know who to target in the next election. I expect none of the Democrats to vote for it, and I hope the Republicans that sit in the Hispanic majority districts (which are a lot in south Texas) vote for these too. If there's at least 12 million illegals living here, and the majority of them are split between California and Texas, then wow Texas is going to really empty out and make a beeline toward California, especially now that Governor Martínez of New Mexico plans to scuttle drivers' licenses for illegals.

At least now people can start seeing how much can be done when you press your state legislature to do stuff, rather than relying on the inefficient, bloated, corrupt federal government. More power to the states!!

Not to mention the governorship. In the house, the GOP holds a supermajority actually

The only people that will not vote for these bills are obviously the Democrats, but unfortunately some of the GOP members who represent districts within a 2-3 hour drive from the Mexican border might not vote for it

With all the "refugees" of the drug war running over the border into Texas, the politicians will shove their beloved illegals aside, a great number of the "refugees" are from wealthier families who always managed to get over here to give birth and get their back-up US citizenship "just in case" and now that time has come. It's estimated that 120,000 people from Juarez alone have moved over the border in the last few months. The government has to come up with the money to pay for them.

Hopefully all those refugees won't be able to vote either, but may just raise TX taxes.
