Utah Legislators seek to deisgnate Utah as the first Sanctuary State (illegal immigrants, laws)

At last count, there were more than 50 “sanctuary cities” in the United States willfully in violation of the 1996 Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act.

With the passage of 1SHB116, the Utah Legislature seeks the unprecedented designation for Utah as the very first Sanctuary State in the Country

.

The language of 1SHB116 calls for “legal citizenship and employment status for sale” upon the payment of a $1000.00 fine by illegal immigrants, without restriction or caps being placed on the number of illegal immigrants that would be granted such status. Illegal immigrants across the United States will descend on Utah in an effort to legitimize their illegal presence in the United States;

1SHB116 discriminates against those immigrants who have respected the laws and sovereignty of the United States and have lawfully applied for citizenship;

So now what would be the point of legal immigration?

You know, as a legal migrant I'm starting to wonder that myself........

Did you know that as a legal resident I have to (BY LAW) notify the USCIS within 10 days when I move to a new address? Yet illegals are free to move about this country as they wish - go figure.

Hate to say it, but I'm getting mighty tired of having to jump through the hoops and follow all the rules when I daily see stories of illegals breaking them with impunity.

I want to sponsor ym fiancee from the UK to live with me in a few years, and I have to pay thousands of dollars to complete the whole process and wait a long time, and yet the illegals just hop on over and get offered freebies and are allowed to stay here, because the government refuses to extradite them. What deal did Washington and Mexico City strike that allows this to happen??? This is NOT happening by accident. Our 2 leaders (past and/or present) have struck a deal that allows this travesty to happen.

Fine--Utah should then take ALL of the illegal aliens, but not a single federal dollar for ANYTHING! I'm all for it. Get them the hell out of California.
