Obama issues Dream Act by executive order…press ignores

Quote:
On Friday, the Obama administration issued a memo announcing that federal immigration officials do not have to deport illegal aliens if they are enrolled in any type of education program, if their family members have volunteered for U.S. military service, or even if they are pregnant or nursing. Just because Pres. Obama is allowing ICE to turn a blind eye to illegals enrolled in school does not make the Dream Act an exceutive order... It is my understanding that this is being done so that ICE can focus it's enforcement action on incarcerated criminals and violent offenders and such.
Having said that tho, this makes no sense...I have said this in other posts/threads but..why send the criminals back first? They will only join ranks with the criminal army already in place that are maintaining the flow of drugs and illegals into our country to begin with. I would think that if this administration truly wanted to staunch the flow of illegals it would send back these kids that are educated FIRST..that do not have a criminal history or a negitive agenda against the U.S... that knows what it means to live freely and without fear. If these kids and their families were sent back first, with no way of ever coming back, they would be angry enough to make real changes. These kids have not bought into the Mexican culture of bribes and apathy. They could very well over throw the corrupt government..to do away with the drug cartels...These kids would be the Army of Change that Mexico has needed for generations.
Having said THAT... I would be willing to keep simple illegal aliens in interrment camps and keep Mexican criminals incarcerated until these kids are back home and active citizens. These criminals could be detained in a Guantonimo(sp) type situation. If they have ties to the drug trade or to human trafficking they could be considered terrorists whos ultimate goal is to infiltrate and bring down the American way of life. Put em in a prison just close enough to the border that it won't cost an arm and a leg to send em back when the time is right but until then. Let em sit in an American prison with other Mexican prisoners and rot.
Before you tear my post apart because of specifics look at the general idea...will my idea cause problems with families..yes..the ones that made decision to come here illegally in the first place.

About those that volunteered for military service..this in itself is a pathway to citizenship. Those that serve should be protected..but their families..no. When theses soldiers have attained citizenship let them apply and bring their families back over legally.
The pregnant and nursing? Send them to the interriment camps and no citizenship for babies born in interrment...The nursing? I nursed and didn't need a special place for it...that makes no sense to me. What makes them so vulnerable when they took the risk to cross the desert in the blazing heat and lack of water or stuffed 30-60 in a truck to come here??? If the U.S. as a nation could, with good conscious at the time, inter their own Japanese citizens then they can do this for illegals. Yes, I know this is extreme but if you want a weed gone you have to kill it at the root.

I thought the Dream Act made a lot of sense and was disappointed when it didn't pass. If this article is true, I have no problem with it.

That being said, I have a friend who writes for the Examiner, and it is a joke. Let's dig up a more credible resource for this thread.

Emotional Appeal. How about the families of those not serving, you know, the other 95% of illegal immigrant families?

This would be another good reason to impeach Obama. what he has done to to allow the LAWS of these United States to be selectively enforced.

The ONLY reason I have for NOT wanting Obama impeached is, if he gets removed from Office, look who will become president.

If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me. Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down, with a three-star general and three senators at 10,500 feet in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are.

Addressing National Guard, Baltimore, September 2008, about time his helicopter had to make a landing not because of Al Qaeda but due to a sudden snowstorm.

When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, "look, here's what happened."

In interview with CBS News, September 2008. However, Roosevelt wasn't president in 1929 and televisions were still experimental.

Uh, uh, Chuck Graham, state senator, is here. Stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see you. Oh, God love you. What am I talking about.
Joe Biden
To wheelchair-bound Missouri state senator, Charles Graham, September 9, 2008.

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.
Joe Biden
About US presidential candidate Barack Obama, January 2007. He later apologised for these remarks, saying: "I deeply regret any offense my remark in the New York Observer might have caused anyone. That was not my intent and I expressed that to Sen. Obama".

In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.
Joe Biden
In conversation with American-Indian political activist in 2006, he was later slammed for making insensitive and inappropriate remarks.
