Okay so I'm sitting here at my computer, I hear my daughters tv in the next room, she's watching That's So Raven. So I'm hearing the theme song but the words sound a bit different, I get up go in and realize that the theme song is being sung in Spanish....WTF
Disney never did that for Asians; Russians; Nigerians; or any other race for that matter
It's getting to the point that we "HAVE" to speak Spanish in order to read half of our newspapers, store ads, bill boards, and TV. Gee, and I have always thought "ENGLISH" was our nations language?! There are parts of Los Angeles CA that the primary language is Spanish. When did the border move?????
I, for one, welcome our Spanish speaking overlords. Seriously though, just change the channel. If you don't like it, change the channel, boycott, or whatever. You guys spend a lot of time being outraged about silly things. Its bad for your health. Worry about the illegal immigrants coming and taking our jobs. Worry about illegal immigrants committing crimes. Worry about illegal immigrants taking advantage of our system. Worry about the politicians allowing it to happen. Don't worry about TV.

Duh, yeah I know the TV can be turned off. This is a message board and open for dialogue regarding all issues, regardless of how small YOU might think they are. It's obvious that they are taking our jobs; committing crimes; overburdening our system and the POLITICIANS are allowing it to happen - NO ONE HERE disputes that fact. The fact of the matter is that there is a market for Spanish language television. Disney wants to take advantage of that market, as is their right. The US does not have an official language and English is not what defines America. America is about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You can be perfectly good, patriotic American without speaking English.
If you have a problem with a company giving you the option of listening in Spanish, vote with your dollars and don't support them.
I have heard controversy over our "official" language here in the United States. I also know that people who immigrated here many years ago were, infact, required to learn and speak English. Gee, I guess that this is wrong...United States — National Language: English (De Facto)

I understand about the market....supply and demand....and the companies will go where the $$ is. I am not against programs that teach children to speak Spanish..Dora the Explorer etc. But they speak English as well. Now that is educational. Guess I'm just saying we have never had a foreign language taking over English as much as Spanish has. That bothers me personally!!
