DHS won't even deport you even if someone walks in their office for deportation particularly if he/she not from Mexico and person don't fulfil the criteria ICE has for deportation which normally means person sentenced for a yr or more or guilty of crimes for moral turpitude

This is the only part of immigration reform I would support. It is immediate departure if they can't produce citizenship or valid visa after 3 days.
You can sit in a restaurant where I live where illegals are sitting at tables right near border patrol, even if you shout "la migra", the illegals will sit and continue enjoying their meals, and maybe just wave to the border agents. The cops might accidently pull over an illegal driving without a license and do absolutely nothing about it.
We have a kook mayor in a city with sky high unemployment and well known for very low wages who believes we need more illegals to come and stimulate the economy. No matter that they lack health insurance, education.
El Paso immigration lawyer Kathleen Walker said if the United States doesn't figure out a way to bring undocumented immigrants into the economy and solve business-related immigration problems, the U.S. will continue to "doom ourselves" in global competition.

You can't deport people if they from outside Mexico and dont have a travel document Some countries take a long time to issue a travel document and ICE releases an alien after 90 days normally as ICE can't keep a deported alien in custody for more than 6 month due to Supreme Court ruling Zavydas V Davis issued back in 2001

Most illegals know they won’t be deported, even if they go to ICE headquarters and announce their illegal status. They’ve become emboldened by our pandering president and government. This is why they’re so brazen and arrogant. They practically dare ICE, or for that matter, anyone to bother them. In fact, they are now the most protected group of criminals in this country.

Thats where I would reform the law.
