IMO, the biggest incentive is the anchor baby. They're a ticket to welfare, housing, food stamps, Medicaid, etc. With those benefits, getting a job isn't as urgent, except maybe for single men.

Punishing employers isn't pursued like it should be, and is a continuing problem, where Congress could put an end to the anchor baby program all at once.

I totally agree. Ending birthright citizenship would be at the top of my list to curb illegal immigration immensely. It is costing us billions of dollars a year in taxes also.

It seems to be working.
LOL... you think that will work? Gee, let's see...

"My uncle got $15K and a nice flight home just for taking a little vacation in the USA? Sweet, I'm heading over tomorrow! I hear he's heading back next week."

Sounds more like a paid trip "home" for vacation.
We're doing it in France and this is exactly what's happening with illegal Romanians. They pocket a few hundreds euros (for each person and they have huge families) and get a free bus ride to Romania, give the money to family and return immediatly to France so they can start again. (i've seen a documentary about it, there also has been articles in the newspapers)

Then our state minister can say that this measure is a success by the increasing number of illegals agreeing to go back to their country...lol

Politicians are the same all over. They'll crow about deporting 100,000, while ignoring the fact that 99,000 of those will be back within a month.

$1500 a month paid through a local agent in a nearby city. Require a biometric verification for the payment. If they are too close to the border pay it weekly or even daily.

If caught in the states...5 years in the slammer.
