Ditto! But, as usual, this will be deemed xenophobic and discriminatory. Not to mention, fueling racial profiling. And, let's not forget, illegals wouldn't drive drunk if not for our "racist" laws denying them their "civil right" to operate a motor vehicle.

Yes, if we just give them all driver's licenses, they'll stop driving drunk.

The idea is that a if they get on the legal path with a drivers license they might just buy insurance. Perhaps they will also fear losing their drivers license and not drive drunk.

Actually I am ok with this, especially if they hurt someone...better yet put them jail and then deport them.

Why should they? They certainly don't fear being deported being caught driving while drunk, without a license and insurance. I tiger doesn't change his stripes. Why should we legalized foreigners who drive drunk in our country anyways?

How do you know?

I've already stated that I am ok with jail and deportation for DUI's especially if they hurt someone, I see np with that.

A driver's license and insurance does not prevent nor deter drunk driving; because only selfish, irresponsible people drive drunk. The same illegals who drive drunk without a license and insurance, would continue to do so regardless of immigration status or the legal privilege to drive. They should be immediately deported. Far too many innocent people have been victimized by these callous drunks, who clearly don't have enough common decency not to get behind the wheel of a car while impaired. Why on earth should an illegal drunk driver be given a second chance, or even considered for legalization?

Are you asking me? Because I never proposed such.

The first section of my post was in direct response to your comment regarding a license and insurance. You clearly stated that you support the deportation of illegal drunk drivers. So, I was merely concurring by offering my opinion. My question was directed at those who believe we should excuse their behavior, and legalize their status. It wasn't directed at you.
