No one likes being replaced by cheaper illegal labor but you can't kill your employer:

Hurtado-Garcia, a citizen of Mexico living legally in the U.S., told police that he had had problems with Rasch for about a year before killing because, he said, Rasch was trying to force him out of his job.

Rasch did it to himself tho Hurtado messed up his own life even worse cause he's still alive and may be prison for the rest of his life.

Yes, I have no sympathy for Rasch. Too cheap to hire Americans and apparently too cheap to keep a legal foreigner. I found myself a bit sympathetic to Hurtado.
