If states issue driver's licenses under DACA, there will be nothing to prevent illegals from registering to vote. After all, thanks to the Motor Voter Act, voter registration forms must be attached to all DL applications. Could this be the reason Obama was so anxious to implement DACA?

These non-citizens certainly managed to register AND vote.

The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), popularly known as The Motor Voter Act, is a legislation that required state governments to allow registration when a qualifying voter applied for or renewed their drivers license or applied for social services.

States should provide individuals with the opportunity to register to vote at the same time that they apply for a driver's license or seek to renew a driver's license, and requires the State to forward the completed application to the appropriate state of local election official.

All one has to do is complete the form and drop it in the designated box at the DMV. Unfortunately, there is no verification process in place. Heck, the State Dept won't even accept a voter registration card as a secondary proof of citizenship, precisely because they know non-citizens can register to vote.

My goodness, what has prevented Legal Permanent Residents from registering to vote when they get their driver's licenses?...

Absolutely nothing. Obviously, some have, as evidenced by the non-citizen registered voters featured in the video. But, this is to be expected when a government refuses to verify citizenship status of voters, and instead relies on the honor system.
