Can anyone clear up what appears to be the following lies coming from both sides of the aisle:
1. Anyone with a criminal record will be deported. Does anyone believe this? How will they find them? No one with a criminal record will come forward and apply for citizenship since they know they can't get it.
2. After paying fines, those eligible (not criminals) will get on the back of the line and come in like any legal immigrant. But currently only about 300,000 a year are allowed in legally from Mexico. If this was true it would take 30 years for all Mexicans to be legal (assuming no new legal immigrants would be allowed in)
3. All the ads are saying that no one will be given amnesty until the borders are secure. Today it appears that is no longer true.

Also, what happens to all the illegals that came in after 2012 and won't be eligible for amnesty? Will they be deported? haha
This bill is a farce.

All this does is reset the counter to zero. Now there are no Illegal Aliens because of the reset but in another 20 years, if History repeats, we will have 40 million Illegals.

The first lie is parading college grads on stage and representing them as the average illegal.

What about legal aliens who have no right to a path for a green card? How can they even justify to give illegals a path to a green card while E 2 visa holders who legally came here have no path...

How can that even be fair?

But nobody wants to discuss that, not the Democrats neither the Republicans!

It is all about the votes...if the illegals would become citizens but not allowed to vote, the Democrats wouldn't even doing anything!

Not even!

There is nothing in this bill that says the illegals who have shown up after 2011 will be deported. And many formerly deported and self-deported illegals expect to get in on this amnesty -- many have the same kind of evidence showing they lived here before the end of 2011 that those still living here have.

Illegal entries are way up in fact because so many people are coming up to the border just because of this amnesty which promises them very cheap and very easy legal status, no employer or family sponsor neeed, just come one, come all.

This bill does not take care of the problem in any way, it doesn't even reset the counter to zero, it leaves millions of illegals here who lack the fake documents to show they were living here before a certain date. Why would anyone believe that those illegals would pack up and go home right after seeing their compadres given the jackpot prize?

I believe most of them figure that if they just wait in silence until a new immigration law is made they will have time to figure a way to pervert it. Many who use one name today may decide to use another name later if it helps their lies. Identifying them first is a big problem in ever being able to deal with them. They will never come forward until they know they are safe. As far as making them pay fines etc they figure that if they stick together they can not be made to do anything. They need to be shown different.

Also illegals are being told that a whole lot of crimes are going to be turned into non-crimes for their benefits, crimes like felony document fraud and identity theft are only crimes for US citizens, perfectly fine if foreigners commit them, and they're being told that DWI is not a crime if a foreigner here illegally commits it, they're being told they can have up to three DWIs before it might count against them.

Failure to pay child support is another big one, it's not going to be held against them. Since male illegals simply expected taxpayers to pay the maternity stay and the women would simply tell welfare offices that the father wasn't here legally, these fathers never had to pay a dime of child support. They're off scot-free -- complete dead beat fathers.
