"During polygraphs, border agency applicants admit to rape, kidnapping"

Quote:
The 200-plus “significant admissions” described in the summary reports paint a small yet troubling portrait of some of the kinds of people who have applied to be Border Patrol agents and customs officers since 2008. They also highlight potential weaknesses in the costly hiring process that failed to screen out questionable applicants earlier.

And what does this have to do with illegals? They're not here illegally.

And I get asked if I have read articles:

Quote:
Scores more admitted that they had engaged in or had relatives involved in human smuggling or drug running. Some said they harbored immigrants not authorized to be in the U.S. or had family members living in the country illegally.

Well -- this is one reason I'm not all that in favor of more border agents (the one area we might agree a little). They aren't very careful in employing them, often it's about hiring a Fox to guard the chicken coop.

Crooked border agents: Ok; SOME are bad apples but NOT having BP agents would be way worse IMHO. Tho; ANY dirty BP agent NEEDS to be tossed.

Then there is this about the Border Patrol agents:

"The number of employees busted for corruption and misconduct is a fraction of the more than 60,000 employed by the bureau. But misconduct allegations have been on the rise, including a 62 percent jump from 2006 to 2011, according to a recent Government Accountability Office report"

A 62% jump of misconduct allegations for a 5 year span is quite a lot.

how do you know they are not illegals...if they admitt rape and murder, why not lying about being legal. They could be with a cartel to let drugs in.

Well I guess they won't get hired then will they ?

Americans think nothing matters anymore when it comes to government jobs and that the government will hire anyone off the street. Then again the government does.

And....your point is? So then for this reason we should not be allowed to restrict immigration?

Exactly.

Sociopaths being attracted to careers in the military or law enforcement is nothing new. At least the border patrol is trying to keep the riff raff out.
