CLEMSON, SC (AP) - Illegal immigration is the question that keeps nagging presidential hopeful John McCain during his visit to South Carolina.

During an appearance at Clemson University Wednesday, a student described himself as a child of legal immigrants and asked McCain if he favored massive deportation for those in the nation illegally.

McCain just keeps digging himself deeper and deeper. Before, he was a frontrunner until he sided himself with the pro-illegal movement. I guess he figures the illegal vote will save him. Political suicide.

Honestly, I think McCain would have a better chance winning the democratic nomination than the republican one.

I'll drink to that, andreabeth!

As far as I'm concerned, John McCain is a TRAITOR to the very people who elected him to the Senate . . . the voters of Arizona!

I would vote for Kermit The Frog before I'd give him another vote after he crawled into bed with that worthless drunk Ted Kennedy on the amnesty crap.

We are either a nation of laws or we are not. McCain is a big boob.

I guess being realistic about the deportation of several million people is a crime these days. How many thousands of dollars are you all willing to donate or put up in taxes to deport these people? The United States simply does not have the budget to do it.

This is why he won't win. He's right on so many other issues, but this issue is most important.

You don't have to spend much at all to deport the criminals. The cost can be passed on to the illegals themselves. You just initiate contact deportation and seize assets. Once an illegal is in custody you seize his vehicle, cash, home and anything else of value he has. Go through his home and sell his furniture if you can. Private citizens could even be deputized. They snag an illegal, take his assets, then deport him.

Just think, the citizen deputies could even stake out check cashing facilities and banks to make arrests. If the illegal has no assets, put him on a chain gang working on roads.

Once the illegals know they can't get away with stealing from the American people, they'll self deport.

No jobs. No where to live they go home. And yes, seize the money/assets made illegally. The states need to have the employer laws and the housing laws. They migrate back home. We won't need to deport them.
