WASHINGTON, Nov 13 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama plans to announce an overhaul of U.S. immigration policy through executive action that would shield up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation, the New York Times reported on Thursday.

Obama plan would shield up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation

Didn't Obama tell Hispanics awhile back that he couldn't do this? Just another lie by him. This truly makes me sick! The Republicans had better put a stop to this or I will have lost all respect for either party. He plans on making an announcement next week.

What exactly should the Republicans do? Put forth a bill saying that he can't do it? That he won't sign?

I've heard that he will withdraw the EO if the Republicans pass an immigration bill saying exactly what he wants it to say--amnesty for all, open borders, etc.--which the Republicans won't do, and I think most Americans don't want.

The bill that the Republicans already passed--close the borders first, pathway to citizenship for certain people--the Democrats in the Senate wouldn't even look at, and the President refused to sign anyway.

The government works by Congress and the President working together. When the President refuses, what then?

Here is another clip from the article:

"Officials said it would allow many parents of children who are U.S. citizens or legal residents to obtain work documents and stay in the United States".

Wait a minute! So anchor baby truly was an ample term that those of us who are opposed to illegal immigration have been demonized for using. Now Obama is pushing for the parents of these U.S. born kids to be able to remain here also? Work documents? What about the millions of Americans who are out of work? First Obama implements DACA with work permits and now this? WTH?

This whole thing is sickening.

So, illegals who show up here and pop out a kid will get to stay. How many pregnant women are now going to show up at the southern border and demand entry?

Sickening and also a disgrace, that the feelings of most Americans, are not taken into consideration.

Yes, it definitely will encourage more pregnant women to come here or to come here illegally and then get pregnant so that they will get a pass on our immigration laws by giving birth on our soil. It is sickening! Birthright citizenship needs to change like.....yesterday.

I look forward to the backlash that this is would likely cause, democrats believe they've got the 2016 POTUS election sealed up but this could easily destroy those dreams.

If this moron in chief does what everyone knows he wants to it's going to **** off a whole lot of people who normally wouldn't vote.

What the [opposite of heaven] do millions of illegal aliens here care about the U.S constitution? Nothing. Just like the president.

Exactly, any president who would be seen golfing hours after the beheading of an American citizen deserves nothing better than impeachment. An executive action of amnesty is just further evidence that the man cares only about his own agenda.
