“In each of these issues, we’ve seen what will happen if the wrong candidates get elected—and it isn’t pretty. On immigration, what’s happened in Congress is a travesty,” Ms. Mark-Viverito said, according to her prepared remarks. “Political fear mongering has created such a toxic political environment that some called unaccompanied minors—children—’diseased.’ Or call humans ‘illegal.’ No human is illegal. It’s a derogatory term that must be swept away.”

No; Ms Mark-Viverito, your dispicable attitude against US citizens IS the problem.

Once again that tribal mentality comes into play. He knows darned well that a person can be here illegally in our country and "illegal alien" is the lawful immigration term for them.

I see this is a female from Puerto Rico. The name Mark made me think it was a male. So she joins Gutierrez another Puerto Rican that thinks Latinos should be above our immigration laws and that it is inhumane to enforce them and it's also being anti-family? How about American families that have been harmed in so many ways by illegal aliens? I guess they don't count? I really fear for our future with an increasing demographic that puts their tribe/ethnic group above our immigration laws.

More garbage from this traitorous woman. She is also very happy that DiBlasio declared NYC a sanctuary city for illegals.

Obviously, she doesn't care about her fellow Puerto Ricans and like Luis Gutierrez, gladly throws them under the bus. It doesn't bother people like her and Gutierrez that so many Puerto Ricans have been victims of ID theft by illegals that the PR government was forced to declare all PR-issued birth certificates null and void. She and Gutierrez also don't care about all the unskilled PRs who have either seen their wages depressed or were displaced in the work force by illegals.

People like her and Gutierrez make me sick

Agreed. Word was PR was def a mess 30 years ago. Now with the people living there really trying to take care of business; the LAST thing they need are illegal aliens undercutting them, especially "Hispanics" for obvious reasons.

Sadly, Alejandro Garcia Padilla the idiot governor of Puerto Rico has decided to give illegal immigrants driver's licenses thereby attracting even more illegal immigrants to Puerto Rico. He claims that they will get special licenses that specifically state they are not US citizens so they cannot use them as ID to travel to the mainland - owning property in Puerto Rico for 10 years now has taught me never to trust anyone from the Popular Democratic Party, they talk the good centrist/moderate Democrat talk but they will always sell out for political gain.

I don't understand why Congress won't use their plenary powers under the Territorial Clause to remove Garcia Padilla from La Fortaleza. He is the worst governor in American history. The most clueless man on Earth.

Fortuantely, my sources have reported that conservative Republican state senator Thomas Rivera Schatz will announce he is running for Governor of Puerto Rico in 2016 within the next few weeks ... sanity cannot come soon enough!

Congress won't do any such thing because the dems and RINOs would never stand for it.

Puerto Rico has always had high unemployment. It's disgusting that the governor would be pandering to them as illegals take jobs that should be going to Puerto Ricans.

That's something I'll NEVER understand about so many US "Hispanic" leaders: they must truly HATE their "own kind" by making it easier for Hispanic illegal aliens to stay here.
