I sincerely hope no one here is surprised at this. Because the leaders of San Francisco suffer from a defect that caused them to be born with their heads up their asses.
And it ain't just them. Most politicians suffer from that same defect.
I thought they were asking for just $1 million, I guess they realize without federal funds they can't continue to harbor criminal immigrants.
Why don't they fund raise in L.A. amongst the liberal celebrities? I'm sure they would be happy to come out of their pocket with cash, and maybe even house a few criminal immigrants in their mansions!

I'm REALLY starting to think the REAL reason $$$ places like the SF bay area, NYC and so on are fighting deportations of illegal aliens is cause the "rich people" in those places are sick over their kind losing their "slaves" since it gets really messy trying to cheat US citizens out of their wages.
It's easy... enforce E-Verify with business ending penalties... no need for lawyers... they will voluntarily leave on their own... there are lots of ways to fight it... San Francisco isn't so hard to take down... penalize cities based on number of illegal immigrants crimes within their cities and those cities will crack down on illegal immigrants themselves ..

Indeed the rich in these cities are protecting their own wallet to be able to keep low cost labor and having people who keep their mouth shut or they will be reported by the same people who abuse their cheap labor.
Liberals always have compassion for others as long as it doesn't cost them more than flapping their gum!

Who, illegals? That's false. There are numerous law firms which defend them and there are also numerous liberals who work "pro bono" on illegal immigration cases. (It works for them because they can write it off and also because it curries favor with the political class.)
