Southern CA i consider the capital of illegal immigration.
The DC area (espically NoVA) i consider the capital of legal immigration. 80% of the folks i come in contact with here are legal immigrants including my best friend from el salvador.
What I do find interesting is despite Arizona making life a living hell for illegal immigrants and their enablers; I hear little or nothing about the former moving to California.
California is probably almost 50% Latino, so I'd say 95% or more are immigrants legal and illegal. These immigrants have contributed to California being a solidly Democratic state.

No, the California legislature is majority Latino and they are the ones contributing to it being only 50% democratic state. Most democrats are in big cities, San Fran, Los Angeles, but the outskirts are all solidly conservative Republican or Independent. Illegals don't vote, so they don't matter with regard to voting. The state is actually closer to being "purple".

And too; many 'Latinos' are anti ilegal immigration as well----even in California.
Hell: many of the 'Cholo's' would not accept a Mestizo gangbanger type if he/she were born in Mexico---------I was told that many years ago by a Latina born SOB (raised in SoCal) who tried to join a Vato gang when she was younger.
