The local news stations didn't mention her legal status. I figured it was because she was an illegal.
She can't speak English, apparently. She said she stole the jewelry because she was "desperate". 19 years old and she already had one kid and another on the way. She claimed that she was alone without help, so that means that the baby daddy (or daddies) were nowhere to be found.
And the jury that was obviously made up of bleeding hearts, took up a collection to pay her court fees.
I side with her victims who said that she never took responsibility for what she did. Needless to say, they weren't pleased to hear that she got a slap on the wrist. OTOH, what were they doing hiring an illegal to clean their house?
I hope that ICE takes her into custody and deports her and her anchor babies.

When she has the 2nd anchor baby, obviously conceived by immaculate conception (nah, by daddy with a job but benefits would be reduced as his income would be counted, if he is working). Send her home to relatives. Never knew anyone that got pregnant when they were alone!
I believe the majority of illegal aliens are fleeing a country that was fed up with the crimes they were committing there, and these individuals probably all have records that would have prevented them from entering our country legally.
Hey, all she did was steal some rings, in the article I posted about the wealthy woman, she was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by an illegal alien that she hired, so.................
I was thinking that might be the case and SHOULD BE the case! I think, too, that the noose will continue to tighten on immigration requirements. For instance, do we need more thieves present, probably not.
Seems like justice was served amd her peers have spoken! Great story!
It was a miscarriage of justice. She should have been jailed and deported. Since when do jurists pay the fine of criminals? American citizens aren't the peers of illegal aliens.
