Everyone should support this because unscrupulous employers will be against it.

Immigration officials are carefully developing a regulation to implement Congress’ long-standing law against the admission of unskilled migrants who cannot afford to live in the United States.

“Everything we do is guided by the law, that is all we’re doing … There is no nefarious intent or design” against migrants, said Francis Cissna, the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, during a media event at the National Press Club.

“Like it or not, that [law] has been on the books since the 1880s … [and] the term ‘public charge’ has been unchanged in all those years,” said Cissna, whose agency is part of the Department of Homeland Security.

Isn't this happening already?

We have legal immigrants that follow the laws to immigrate to the US and they go on to love, prosper and contribute to their adopted country.

At the border we have poor people who's first act upon entering the country is to break the law and they are so desperate that they will no doubt go on to break more and they will also be in a position to be taken advantage of by their own people and employers.

It is a terrible situation and a human tragedy but don't we already have enough people that we can't take care of?

The other day in Boston it was found that people were living in a storage facility. They were kicked out of their little "homes" and now they are back on the street. The news crew interviewed one man and both he and his wife worked night jobs but with the cost of housing the storage container was the best they could do.

We need to help those already here. We do not need to import more. We need to build a wall.

Fantastic idea.

With AI and automation set to replace a billion jobs around the world in the next couple of decades, the last thing the US needs is millions more "unskilled" laborers.

Enough is enough is enough.

They made a choice to break OUR laws

At the end of the day they are just illegal aliens who have no respect
for America or OUR laws...Actions speak louder then words !

Canada would never allow in unskilled, impoverished aliens, why should the US have to?

Plus then we all have to listen to the Dems gripe about income inequality. Well hello!!! That huge gap was caused by their bleeding heart open door policies!!!

Because we are fools with our open bleeding hearts for the next new thing, which in this case is the poor down trodden aliens who deserve our help.
