I thought it scary how they're blending in, disguising themselves, sending their young members over posing as unaccompanied children. I'm thankful law enforcement is ahead of the game and doing their job. The video for me was an eye opener.
Imagine if Hillary had won. She would have more than half the country believing by now that these poor gang members should be welcomed into the blanket of the Democrats and given a chance to turn their lives around to follow their American dreams to one day become citizens and proudly vote for a Democrat.
Trump sees the danger at our border and is trying to do something about it but what is really scary is that in 2 short years we could once again have a President that tells the border agents to look the other way and stand down.
MS 13 are far outnumbered - by a lot - by so many other gangs in America such as California-based Bloods, Crips, Surenos, or Nortenos. They are also outnumbered by Chicago gangs such as Folks and People Nation gang members.
This is why it bothers me that they are hyped so much. For instance, in Los Angeles MS-13 are constant victims to large Mexican gangs such as 18 Street and Florencia 13. You have to remember that MS-13 don't control many neighborhoods in southern California at all. They are seen as weak in the eyes of gangs in neighborhoods controlled by Bloods, Crips, Mexican Sureno and even Mexican Norteno gang members further upstate. They are only seen as a boogeyman in the media. Also, black and latino gangs in Chicago control over 90% of the gang turf in that city and this does not include MS 13 members who really basically only run small operations, are loosely organized and have very little influence on the streets and zero influence in prison.
MS 13 members also stick out because they are Salvadoran and the majority of Latino gang members in California and the western US are of Mexican descent. The Mexican Mafia, who run southern California Latino gang members in the California penal system often force MS 13 members to fall in line or face the consequences. MS 13 holds very little influence in other states. When they commit crimes it is all over the news. They don't have the numbers to overtake traditionally entrenched American gangs.
The media needs to stop with the MS 13 nonsense and get control of American gangs who have more members and are responsible for more deaths and control much of the street drug trade. Even if MS 13 members are in the Caravan that the President speaks of what are they going to do when they get here? They would find a small town to terrorize and dominate the news cycle - that's about it. There aren't enough of them.
Almost all of their influence remains in El Salvador and even there they have to deal with rival gangs. They are a menace to their native country but are very weak compared to American gangs already entrenched here.
Don't believe the hype guys. The media and politicians are looking at this from the outside and have no idea.
Exactly what the leftist Communists radicals want.... More potential gang members. It is true though the Mexican Mafia the surenos... The black gangs in America do need to be recognized as well.... But you never hear the media talk about them. That's what we need in American prison systems more Latino gang members.... Like we already don't have enough filling our prison systems to the brim. The radicalized left communist just looking for more votes imo.

Nobody wants MS -13 to terrorize a small town either. If their part of the caravans it does pose a threat to whom they would target. The logic shouldn't be which gang controls the most turf, but elimination of all gang activity. Your dismissing the harm they cause.
unfortunately, once deported, they will try to cross illegally again.
