“Democrats are proposing open borders, lower wages and, frankly, lawless chaos,” Trump said. “We are proposing an immigration plan that puts the jobs, wages and safety of American workers first.”
“Our proposal is pro-America, pro-immigrant, and pro-worker,” he said. “It’s just common sense.”
“We discriminate against genius. We discriminate against brilliance,” he said about the current system. “We won’t anymore once we get this passed.”
Democrats will come out fully against this plan, calling it racist and hateful, even though it is full of common sense and fair.
Dead on arrival. I say this not as someone who is opposed to the plan, I actually like parts of it. But ignoring DACA is just not going fly with the way Congress is currently set up. It’s going to be shot down by the House quicker than a clay pigeon in gun country.
Dogmatism just doesn’t work, and to the extent Trump is pandering solely to the dogmatic part of his base, it will just be more wheel spinning.

Perhaps that is part of the bargaining process? They demand DACA be included, and that one or more of the points in the plan be dropped.
Trump has a lot of proposals but far fewer solutions that go anywhere. This will be like his great health care plan that is the greatest and everyone will agree is great.

DACAs should be deported. They're illegal aliens. Hasn't their temporary stay of deportation expired yet?

Not a word about employers hiring illegals.
If only there were a way of accurately identifying which job applicants/workers are unathorized to work in the US.
Hmmmm....
From the report commissioned by DHS:
Quote:
"As seen in Exhibit 2, approximately 3.3 percent of all E-Verify findings are for unauthorized workers incorrectly found employment authorized and 2.9 percent of all findings are for unauthorized workers correctly not found employment authorized. Thus, almost half of all unauthorized workers are correctly not found to be employment authorized (2.9/6.2) and just over half are found to be employment authorized (3.3/6.2). Consequently, the inaccuracy rate for unauthorized workers is estimated to be approximately 54 percent with a plausible range of 37 percent to 64 percent. This finding is not surprising, given that since the inception of E-Verify it has been clear that many unauthorized workers obtain employment by committing identity fraud that cannot be detected by E-Verify"
A unique biometric identifier such as fingerprints, retinal scan, etc., would be required from every US citizen, LPR, and authorized temporary non-citizen worker to make e-verify work as well as it was intended to. E-verify has no such database, and I doubt you'd get every US citizen, LPR, and authorized temporary non-citizen worker to agree to submit such biometric identifyers to the Fed Gov. It's too intrusive and a violation of our 4th Amendment Rights.
Illegal aliens are 7% of the US population, and 6.2% of the job applicants/workers vetted through the e-verify system, so The DHS report's conclusion about the ineffectiveness of e-verify is valid.
I don't know why we keep hearing the claim that Trump isn't going after the employers who hire illegal aliens or that he isn't trying to mandate e-verify. That's simply false. There have been several employers since he took office that were found to have illegal aliens working for them and he re-instated the workplace raids that Obama put a stop to. However, it has to be proven that they "knowingly" had illegals working for them. It's not usually the owners who hire them but those within their company that do and illegal aliens provide such authentic looking fake or stolen documents to get hired that it's not always easy to tell.
Trump has had e-verify in his last two budgets but the Democrats won't go for it unless there is an amnesty attached to them. Let the truth be known instead of the falsehoods spread by the pro-illegals.
Funny, how they also claim that Trump is just pandering to his base whom are law abiding citizens so what's the problem with that? The Democrats are pandering to those who don't care about that and have a vested interest in illegal immigration but there's no problem with that? Huh?
You don't have hundreds of illegals working for you and not know it. Trump knows he will have people back him up when he does nothing. He can't. Those who try and say he will know that. He can't. He is not going to do anything that hurts business. Everyone knows that. Those who defend him know that.
There are show raids, just like there were under Obama.
