That's the 1 good thing Blunt has done for Missouri. He's not running for re-election becuase he knows he would lose in a landslide. Don't give him too much credit.

"Gov. Blunt Announces 300 Illegals Detained in 13 Months Since Immigration Directive"
JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt signed one of the toughest laws in the country to crack down on illegal immigration and the tough directive he issued in August 2007 to fight the problem continues to get positive results. Gov. Blunt announced today that in the 13 months since he issued his directive, 300 illegal immigrants have been detained in Missouri.
“Missourians do not condone lawbreaking. Nor do we turn our head when someone tries to take advantage of others. We enforce our laws. We defend law-abiding citizens. We reserve the benefits of citizenship for legal residents,” Gov. Blunt said. “We will always welcome legal immigrants, but we must crack down on those who break our laws. In the last year, 300 illegal immigrants have learned this lesson the hard way, and Missourians are safer as a result of my directive and the work of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.”

The problem is not just illegals from Mexico.................many others hail from Central America, Ireland, Poland, China, etc.

Needless to say: they all need to depart the USA.
Very true.The ones we hear about (and see around here) all get lumped into the category of being mexican,but you are right,they are from many different countries.We don't see many illegal europeans,but people from Chicago that come down here say that the Chicagoland area is just lousy with them.I wish INS would buck up in southern IL too,they could make a good start in the town of Cobden (a lot of fruit orchards there) where it is a safe haven (harboring fugitives is more how I see it) .They pander to the illegals there and it's a sorry sight in my eyes.
Illegal immigrants do the following:
- steal our identities
- steal our jobs
- depress wages
- steal welfare / wic
- steal healthcare
- don't assimilate
- send money out of the country
- change the American culture
