PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Office (MCSO) arrested 27 undocumented immigrants Tuesday night at four different traffic stops in a three-hour period, while working in the northwest part of the Valley.

In the past 30 days, sheriff's deputies have arrested 127 undocumented immigrants.

Of those suspects, 106 of them were booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on felony charges.

To date, MCSO has arrested 1,396 immigrants on felony state and human smuggling charges.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio has vowed to continue enforcing all aspects of the state and federal immigration laws.

Arpaio has said that he will not be distracted nor deterred by civil rights activists or local and national politicians.

I whole heartedly agree with Joe!!
And for the naysayers....He is only doing the job that we elected him to do. And he is only enforcing the laws that we voted in, don't like what he's doing- change the laws. Its that simple.

WoW, 127 people in 30 days!! at this rate thanks to Arpaio the U.S. will have no illegal aliens in... uhmm ... never.

And how is this breaking news? His anti-immigrant position is well known.

This must do wonders for publicity, specially with the people of Arizona who elected him and think that deporting 127 people is ground breaking.

If his sole objective was to find and deport illegals, then I could see your point. The number just indicates how many illegals were found by routinely doing their job. The point is Sheriff Joe continues to DO HIS JOB regardless of BS cries of racism and discrimination from La Raza, MecHa, ACLU all our corrupt politicians. Some integrity and honor in an elected official is refreshing (you know, doing what is RIGHT, not what you think will get you votes, or doing what your paid off to do).

By the way, Sheriff Joe is anit-ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, not anti-immigrant, even though I know you can't discern between the two.

Anti immigrant or anti illegal alien criminal? There is a difference--------despite the best efforts of the pro illegal alien apologists to sully the rep of legal immigrants.

I'm sorry, your sad attempt to blur the line between legal and illegal immigration has failed again.

Try again next time.

The majority of the people of Arizona are aware of the terrific job you're doing, Joe, and
they show their appreciation by reelecting you time after time.
Our country would be in a lot better shape if every sheriff of every county in the US had
half your backbone.

It's too bad all our police do not do their job and arrest and deport all these illegal immigrants.

That is because Police are hired by corrupt bought off politicians. They are not elected by the people in a vote, like the Sheriff and Constables are. They can't be fired.
