I recently attended a seminar in private property rights run by a particular conservative group who had an interesting take on illegal immigration.
The major point was that the "New World Order" "One World Government" people want to destroy the sovereignty of the United States and make the United States a mere administrative unit of
A. The North American Union
B. The United Nations One World Government.
To do this they need to destroy private property rights and destroy the ability of the United States to feed itself.
By making the US dependent on Illegal Labor in Agriculture, then rousing the people to oppose that illegal labor and hence to get rid of the illegal labor, they would destroy the ability of the United States to feed itself. And thus, to diminish its sovereignty and make it a part of the "Global Nation"
When you consider that many of the largest Ag business in America today have shifted their operations to other countries, this makes sense.
The upshot of this is a curious conundrum. The very people who oppose illegal immigration are also the people who consider themselves "real American Patriots" and oppose any loss of sovereignty by the United States.
Yet,
By ending illegal immigration, American Agriculture will be largely destroyed. The economies of California and Arizona and Texas and Florida (major fresh produce and fruit producers) will crash sending the US into a depression and the United States will be ripe for take over by
A. The North American Union
B. The United Nations led by China
C. The One World Government Shadow Government.
The One Worlders have created for the anti illegal people, a Hobson's Choice of dire consequences.
"Conspiracy theories" have long been a fascinating subject for me. Whether it's NAFTA, the Posse Comitatus, various groups of purists, tax rebels, paramilitants, the 'Timothy McVeigh' people...isolationists, those who report 'black helicopters', the Trilateral Commssion, etc etc etc, the underlying thread connecting them all is "you can't believe what the mainstream media says..sinister forces are at work that we don't know about..." and on and on. And what makes all of this so fascinating is that MOST of these allegations can be neither proved, nor disproved...at least not to everyone's satisfaction. And SOME of them may be true...maybe.
Where your post fits into all this...and whether the "New World Order", when and if it ever DOES show up, could possibly be any worse than the "old World Order" we've known, is a subject of endless speculation.
Np conclusions here...but I hope this thread gets a lot of responses. Thanks...
We have legal immigration, guest worker programs to tend to large ag, farms. Enforcing our laws will discourage visa overstayers giving openings for those in line waiting to make money. We would still have plenty interested in coming temporarily so the theory proves unfounded.

And if we turn off our gushing welfare spiggot we will soon see plenty of fruit and vegetable pickers who would rather work than starve.

No! Or as they say in Spanish: ¡No!
There are machines that can do most of the work. The cost passed on to consumers would perhaps just be 10 cents per dollar -- a VERY small price to pay considering how much tax money is siphoned away by illegals, not to mention the premiums in home prices and rent Americans pay to not have to live in a neighborhood filled with illegals. We'd be much wealthier spending at most that extra 10 cents for a head of lettuce...

Yawn.
Maybe it is time to find out how 'badly' we need a bunch of illegal aliens after all. Besides: maybe 4-5% tops are involved in agriculture----------which leaves a fat 95%+ illegals that can be safely deported

The answer to both of these is, no we don't, we have neither a workable guest worker program nor workable machines that can do the hand work that is done.
Which is why there are tens of thousands of illegals doing hand work in the fields. Which according to the people at this seminar was done on purpose. The US used to have a workable guest worker program, but it ended 46 years ago.

How is the U.S. “dependent” on illegal aliens, and American Agriculture will be largely “destroyed”, given that the VAST MAJORITY (76%) of ag workers are NOT illegal?
Moreover, how on earth did we feed ourselves prior to massive illegal immigration?
I also question the entire story of the OP. IMO it is just another lame tactic to try and dissuade from fact and twist, typical assumption that Americans are that stupid and would believe this.

Yes, it did....and it was run with the approval of both the US and Mexican governments, and apparently well-recieved by both employers and laborers.
The US also has granted several amnesties...the largest of which (1986) saw some three million illegals granted citizenship.
But apparently neither of these programs (the "bracero" system, NOR the amnesties) served to resolve the problem of illegal immigration, and today, illegals are FAR more numerous and FAR angrier and FAR more frustrated than they were 'back then'.
Apparently, these earlier programs didn't REALLY address what some people want. Apparently, what certain people want is not to work...nor to show compassion for a certain number of low-level 'trespassers'...but to simply open up the border, and give a total "pass" to anyone and everyone who's ever crossed it...workers or simply dependents....people with job prospects or none....'good' people or bad....educated or illiterate...regardless of the laws. And we're supposed to just 'absorb' this, deal with it, and remind ourselves that "our society NEEDS this". That's a MUCH different concept than just 'filling jobs that Americans won't do'.
