I'm trying to dig up ticket information for my computer illiterate co-worker. He wants to take his wife to a ND game in South Bend. She's a lifelong fan that has never been to a game.

When do football tickets go on sale (if at all to the general public)? Do people outside of South Bend/Indiana even stand a chance of getting a pair of tickets first hand? I don't think he really cares what team they play.

The ND ticket site has no info posted at this time other than the schedule.

A Domer fan may say otherwise, but I believe all ND games are sold out to season ticket holders. Your best bet is probably Stub Hub.

Yep ... season tickets sell the place out ... you need to cozy up to a season ticket holder. We stopped getting season tickets, but have never had any trouble coming up for tickets when we wanted to go.

Bondurant ... a very familiar name in my former hometown.

It is easy to get tickets from people who want to sell them...just not easy on the wallet

You can buy tickets on game day from ticket-holders (or scalpers) on or near campus. ND does not allow scalping on campus, so anyone openly selling tickets there cannot sell them for more than face value. The price and availability of tickets depends on the weather, the opponent, and how well ND is doing. Try Utah (11-13) or Tulsa (10-30). Western Michigan (10-16) might also work, although there will be lots of WM fans who can drive down for the game and buy up those extra tickets.

An old trick our real estate agent taught us when we first moved to the area..... The further away the opponent, the more likely tickets will be available. So Utah or Tulsa are good bets. Be careful if you buy from scalpers, they had problems a couple of years ago with counterfeit tickets being sold off campus. Also if you know an alum, maybe they "won" tickets from the lottery they won't be using and can sell them to you....of course, pay face value. Good luck to your co-worker!

Perhaps tickets will drop in price. ND's new Head Football Coach Bryan Kelly says that Notre Dame's offense 'stinks right now.' Last year it was the defense and the year before that.
