Hello all!
I would like as much useful information as possible about moving to Indiana with my family. We are a family of four-1 highschooler who is interested in all things French, band, science, math and soccer, and a 4th grader who loves to do everything outside of school like soccer and hockey. I am a nurse who loves working in public health and my husband is a top notch automotive/diesel mechanic who is seriously considering going back to school for "something different". We are going to visit a few places in Indiana this spring and hopefully move this summer. Right now Columbus is looking pretty good to us...good housing costs, decent schools, secondary education for all of us, jobs, low crime, outdoor recreation (hiking, fishing, etc.) and activities for the children. We are looking for a simple life that promotes a good sense of community and provides opportunities for happy lifelong memories without all the squeezing pressure of making ends meet like we are experiencing right now in Arizona.
All your information is greatly appreciated!

Columbus Indiana has good diesel mechanic jobs etc due to Cummins.
Indianapolis has good nursing jobs due to the major hospitals and nursing schools etc.
Communitites inbetween those 2 cities include Greenwood/Franklin/Whiteland.
