Just wondering if there are any people out there from nearby my area?

Default I'm probably the closest

I'm probably the closest--and I'm in Sayler Park in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati thread is active but depressing at times. You're the first to post from southeastern Indiana that I can see.

I have you beat skipper. I live in Jennings Co., but I'm only about 1/3 mile from the Ripley Co. line. It's about 10 miles to Osgood for me.

A friend is in the process of moving to Osgood. I thought it was a cute town when I helped her with a load. I could never do it since I love Indy so much but she is moving to be near family. She did mention the whole area was very economically depressed.

My grandparents and some uncles and aunts lived in Versailles. I had a great aunt and uncle that had a farm in Dillsboro. My parents moved to Columbus before they had me, but now I live in South Carolina

We used to visit elderly friends of my parents near the Flat Rock Church. I always loved going there. We'd swing on grape vines over hollows. Part of the road in one place was actually the Flat Rock Creek. We went there this summer & the house is gone now. It was close to the house they said was part of the Underground Slave route. That house was missing too. It was old & falling down back in the 50's & 60's. We ate at a little place in Osgood. Stopped at the Library & they were very nice there. Gave me a map. My friends are buried in the Flat Rock Church cemetery.
