There are a lot of houses for sale in Fortsville/McCordsville around Geist relative to other places (i.e. Fishers/Carmel/Zionsville)... any ideas why? Is this a bad area to own real estate from an appreciation perspective? What are the advantages/disadvantages of being in Fortville/McCordsville vs. being in Fishers... they all have HSE schools.

specifically, i was looking at the neighborhoods of cambridge and canal... seems like there is a large concentration of homes for sale in those neighborhoods.

things haven't progressed to a point where i'm ready to hire an agent... still trying to get an overall feel from a large sample of people.

I personally like Cambridge better than Canal Place. If you don't watch what house you get in Canal place, you'll get a lovely view of a gravel pit .. I'm not kidding.

Cambridge is a well established older neighborhood. You should also look into Windermere.

I live near both of those.. if I were to pick between the 2 - it would definately be Cambridge.

I dont think Windermere is at the same level as Canal Place and Cambridge.. just my opinion.

There are some homes in Windermere that are on par with Cambridge. I have a good friend who lived in Cambridge and found it too snobby, so they moved to Windermere and said that people are little more down to earth there.
