We found an address that would be minutes from work for me but is technically in Westfield. Is this comparable to living directly in Carmel?

What is the overall opinion of this area, I haven't found too much info on it on the boards.

Thanks again!

There are some Westfield neighborhoods that are in the Carmel school district.

You cannot tell where one starts and the other one ends. Friends specifically looked in Westfield and are living across from a huge country club.
They say their real estate taxes are less than if they lived in Carmel.

IMHO, Westfield is great up and coming area. The taxes are a lot higher, but that will be a moot point starting next year.

When I show people home that has Carmel schools and I tell them it is actually in Westfield, 95% of them could care less.

Those areas (surrounding Lakeside Park along Towne Road I am guessing) aren't really even a part of the city of Westfield. They just have a Westfield ZIP code...thats all. It really does not mean that the presence of crime stops and appears again at city line. Westfield is a beautiful city, especially the areas in the Carmel school areas.

I had a friend who lived in that area. When asked where she lived, she wouldn't say Westfield, she'd say, "in the Carmel school district" .. thought it was annoyingly snobby, but methinks a lot of people say that around there.

I don't know anything about Carmel Landing or Westfield schools, but we live in Carmel, and imo, you chose a great general location to get your bearings.

Probably like you saw, you'd be a stones' throw from Target, Wal-Mart, Marsh (grocery) etc, Menards/Lowes and all the other shopping to save on gas money. Clay Terrace (outdoor mall) right there also.

I prefer Westfield than Carmel. taxes are going to be adjusted and you have same life style as Carmel life style. So whats big deal. Buy in Westfield and live in and around Carmel for restaurants and shopping. It s all unites states And you save lots of money by doing that. My friend did that. Westfield is future carmel...may be not but.....still good bet.
Dont ask about me I bought in fishers
