Yes, I know it's free, but DON'T present some "free" service that screws up at the WORST imaginable time.

That is what has happened to me. I had a job interview Friday that went very well. But I need to send some additional info. CAN'T because of "something went wrong." Aggghhh.

So, I had to go to Microsoft Word and type it that way. Now I have to hand carry it in. But, not everything would fit on the page, because Word "decided" I wanted it all double spaced.

I'd like to brain Bill Gates with a damn tire tool.

HELP!!!!!!!

Why don't you just set it to single space? It seems a bit silly to keep it at double spaced if that's not what you desire.

What did Microsoft tell you when you called them about your hotmail issue?

I'd recommend you try a different browser to make sure that the "something" that went wrong isn't on your end. Sites will react differently to different browsers. They almost have to, in this world of mobile devices. You might be able to get it to work by using a different method to reach the site.

Yes, no kidding.

It works now. Got my job related stuff out.

But, I dunno if I trust the damn thing. I started a gmail account. They sent me an e-mail about "transferring" my Hotmail account to them. Does this mean they'll import all my old e-mails? There are a lot of them.

Thanks for all your help, folks. I was so irate yesterday you could have fried an egg on my head.

There is "free" email, and then there is "good" email.

They are not the same thing, so the user has to have realistic expectations that "free" email will not be "good" email.

I have yahoo and gmail, but I use "good" email for important stuff.

I'm almost certain that's exactly what they'll do. Gmail accounts have a huge capacity. It'll be no big deal for them.
