I know there was someone here that plays Ford up and down between $10 and $12. It looks like they're down again. Should I get in or wait? just asking for opinions I realize nobody has a crystal ball.

I think GM is a better buy than F.

I have been playing with F a few times throughout the year with a modest profit, but I just bought some ford at around $10.00 yesterday for a "long-term" investment.

These posts always fascinate me...

The OP clearly KNOWS that no one knows what the stock will do, but wants opinions on where the stock is going......and will act on those opinions even though he knows it makes no difference...

I guess some people goto Vegas to gamble and some flip a coin by asking opinions from anonymous people about a stock....

Yes, the OP should instead put all his money into some index fund in the hopes that it performs similarly to the past.

I think Ford is a better buy than GM hands down. It has been hovering between 9 and 13 dollars now for about a year or so. I would recommend swing trading it or selling options on it. Its fairly predictable and I doubt its going outside of that range for awhile. So if I were you, and I've done this several times, I would probably perform a buy/write and have covered calls for insurance. You need patience to play that game but you can make a pretty decent return.

Just got the report on a couple GS funds I own. The only auto stock they listed was GM, not F. FWIW I'm long F but I got in at 3.
