I used to use Mint.com just to track my portfolio, bank account, & credit card all on one website, but personal capital also seems to have a wealth adviser/ financial planning component. Anyways, was just wondering if anyone uses it or has any opinions.
Sounds pretty positive. Might sign up later. I just wish I could find one of these that allows for cash forecasting as well.
These are great "accounting" sites, but I like the ability to project a bit (both near term bills and long term). If I could find an accounting and forecasting site, I'd retire my excel file in a second.
Ive used mint for the past 3 years. I love it. as interested as I may be to try something else, having the history is very valuable to me. so one thing that id consider is that my choice is the popular choice to increase the chances that it will stick around. if mint goes away, id be super unhappy.
So I had PC "analyze" my current asset allocation and this is what it spat out. Looks like I'm somewhat on target, just need to spend some of that cash. If I want to go with that asset allocation it seems I need to buy some US Bonds and "Alternatives" (looks like Gold, REITS, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions? Since I use Schwab I was planning on using the low fee ETFS; for the bond portion I was thinking SCHZ (Core Bond) and for the Alternative, SCHH (Real Estate). One other questions, would it make any difference in the allocation of which I should purchase in a Roth vs. a regular account?

Unfortunately, they don't support Monte Carlo simulation..
