OK - let's do this game again for 2017. Same rules as previous.
Everyone starts with $100,000 of fictional money
Picks due by Jan. 2, 2017.
Post your top 5 stock tickers, using the full $100,000. Pick between 1 and 5 stocks but no more.
No trading. You keep what you pick.
Dividends are accounted for.
We can keep track of everything right here.
On 1/1/18 we'll tally everything up and see who made the best picks.
$100K on ATW - currently at $13.61.
Are you keeping score?
Are prices going to be as of close of trading on Jan 3 (or whenever the first trading day of 2017 is?)
Throw my entire $100,000 into Zillow Class A Shares (ZG) .. I think the revenue growth and swing to profitability could result in this stock being a 10 bagger over the next 5 years, assuming they are not acquired. They are the dominant online real estate website with a market cap under 5 billion dollars right now... decent balance sheet with not much debt and plenty of cash.
If I'm wrong oh well it's a post on a messageboard. I'm going to use this post to get a bunch of stock picks and research them. Post some growth stocks please.
FTK - Magic additive that makes fracking sites produce more...maybe
NBGGY - National Bank of Greece - Country looks finally ready to stagger out...though technically $100K could probably buy it out at this point so that may be cheating.
DB - Rising Asset values may pop some solids into the balance sheet
FCX - I actually would buy this one. Icahn in the Prez, Icahn on the Board
CMLS - Someone will fix this thing
Disclaimer...you shouldn't buy most of these in real life.
