This simply means that it's been a lucrative tool of speculation, for the clever and the lucky to suck money from the dumb and unlucky. But this is almost always the case, isn't it? The item in question doesn't have to have any particular substance, worth or longevity.
Music and movie ownership for example. Software/apps. Also, have you been to the faraway world they call the metaverse? Lots of real estate there go for more than ones in the "physical-verse".

That's what the Chinese government did.

Is there some reason we don't do concert tickets on blockchain other than Ticketmaster makes more under the current system? Seems like tickets could be issued on blockchain so resells would have certain authenticity and could even kick some percentage back to the artist or promoter every time a ticket changes hands after first purchase. I don't know enough to know if this is possible or even makes sense.

Once the music industry fully goes web3, artists will make more money and with that bring blockchain tech to ticket sales. POAPs, "Proof of Attendance Protocol", will be issued for every show proving you went to a concert and they may make POAPs the tickets themselves.

I don’t know if you have ever flown on Pan Am Airways. Do you think the collapse of Pan Am Airways has dealt a blow to the civil aviation industry in the United States?

Crypto.
Run away and be very afraid. That's not investing. That's gambling. This particular conversation is getting old.

I'm excited to dive into the world of cryptocurrencies I've personally had a great experience with Cryptex https://cryptex.net/en for cryptocurrency payments. They offer a wide range of cryptocurrency pairs and a user-friendly trading interface.
