Hello,

I'm moving to St. Augustine in about a month and a half, and was wondering if anyone has any advice--I'm planning on getting a vacation rental for the rest of the year so I have time to get a feel for the different areas before making a more permanent commitment. As such, I'm wondering if there are any particular neighborhoods and/or condo complexes that I might want to avoid--need a safe, quiet place where I can work at home in peace (and look up from my laptop at the ocean from time to time!). Also, I'm curious as to the difference between the beach areas, specifically Crescent beach vs. St. Augustine beach. I've felt drawn to St. Augustine for a few years now so I know I'm going to absolutely love it, but I welcome any insider information as well.

All the condos on the beach betwwen St. Augustine Beach and Crescent Beach are safe and quiet. I would stay closer to St. Augustine Beach if you want convenience to shopping for groceries and proximity to downtown activities. Your price range will dictate into which complex you will rent. Oceanfront units can be expensive. Also gated vs. not gated. townhouse style vs. a flat. Single family homes with an ocean view are very pricey.
