What is the comparison to Cali? Is it a decent place for someone single?
Jacksonville has almost nothing in common with San Diego except the Navy. It is less expensive. The job market is in general poor but depends on what you do for a living. I'm married - but single people don't seem to complain too much. Robyn

Default Did you move - what do you think?

Can any one suggest "safe" sub divisions along with the zip codes that have less or no crime? I like to be about less than 20 miles to the beaches and less than 15 miles to Downtown River walk. Is down town River walk a safe place to walk at night? what areas I should stay away from Jacksonville. How is the job market in Jacksonville in "banking" and "Information Technology" areas? including nightlife. We both are in our early late 30’s. What Jacksonville has to offer other than Tampa Bay- Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale except the housing market is very good in Jacksonville as compared to Tampa Bay-Orlando and Broward County? Any suggestions!
Hi Feroze,
My husband and I could be in the same situation you were in back in 2007 - Did you and your wife end up moving, what area did you settle on and what do you think about the area? What would you advise someone about relocating to Jacksonville?
We're mid-thirties, 2 young kids
thanks in advance for your help :-)

Jacksonville is not a good place to live. If your opening a business they will not support you. The people are very mean. I lived there for, three years and it was not good. I sold my house and moved to Mattews Nc and I'm very happy.
