Does anyone know where I can find caviar in Jax. I need some Masago or Tobiko caviar for at-home sushi rolls. I like bringing my bento to work, and I save a ton of money by making my own sushi. Paying $25+ for shipping on $10 caviar is getting really old, really fast though. Can anyone help?

Thanks

I think Fresh Market has some.

Matthews Market carries caviar, they list Osetra and Beluga on their website:

Seafood » What We Carry | Matthew's Market & Catering (http://www.matthewsmarketandcatering.com/carry/seafood - broken link)

Long ways from St. Augustine. It is located in San Marco area of Jacksonville (just south of downtown if you aren't familiar).

Dang. How far is that? If less than 45 minutes and if we get serious about the St Augustine area it would be worth the drive on occasion.

Would like to find a gourmet type grocer in the St Augustine area. Fresh Market, Whole foods, etc etc. Do you know of one? Do you know if they sell fresh mozzarella at publix there like they do here in SW Fla?

If you were living in St. Augustine proper - in or near downtown St. Aug or the beaches of St. Aug - you'd be looking at an hour or more to get to Matthews.

Whole Foods is coming to Jacksonville. It will be in Mandarin which is the sourthernmost point of Jacksonville, so that will be closer to you if you're in St. Aug. It opens later this year (under construction right now). We also have Native Sun if you're looking for organic veggies and they carry some unusual ones too, like Burdock.

Yes, Publix sells fresh mozarella.
