Hi! My family is moving to the area in June, and like everyone else am trying to figure out where to settle. My husbands office will be on Hodges Blvd, and I like that area from what I've seen. We have four children, one graduating this year, an 11 year old who is profoundly disabled (goes to a special school here), a middle schooler and a 5th grader. My biggest concern is the best place for my disabled son and living close enough that he is not on the bus two hours each way (that happens with the special ed buses), but still being in a great area (middle and high school) for my other two. I see from the Duval county schools website that they have a special school for the disabled. I know from reading these forums that everyone says St Johns county is the place to be, but I can't find anything about them having a special school. Am I missing something? If anyone here can give me any insight it will be very appreciated!
