Huh? It takes us about 30 minutes unless we miss the ferry. Then it can take us an hour. We just plan to hit the ferry so we don't miss it.

Huh? 30 minutes to an hour? That's how long it took me to get to a beach when I lived in landlocked White Plains, NY. The beach at Amelia State Park is a very fine beach. Enjoyed it during our stay at Plantation. But for a dip I prefer a beach much closer to home, thank you.

We sometimes go to Amelia Island for lunch. Takes us about 45 minutes - perhaps an hour if there's traffic. Robyn

Well, if you go back and read what I originally wrote, I never said I was driving 30 minutes for a quite stop by the beach. I said, "If I want to bring my truck on the beach..." I also said I go to Neptune and Atlantic for quick trips. Sometimes we also go to Jax Beach for an after dinner walk.

I never said I was driving that far for a quick trip.
