A meaningless, frivolous question on a Friday morning, but I'm curious what Jaguar fans think about the new gold uniforms. The move away from teal started in 2013 ... wondering why teal is deemed "offensive" or "too girly" or what-have-you?

I've always thought the standard Jaguars color theme is the worst in all of professional sports. Teal, black and gold just don't mix well. So the mostly gold uni's looked like an upgrade to me.

I wonder why a team based in Florida would decide that BLACK on helmets and jerseys would be a good idea?

Guessing the fabric of the gold ones doesn't breathe well either ... awful lot of soaking sweat.

I thought I saw wet uni's, too. But, I think it was just a darker shade of gold.

I don't believe last night's uniforms are their "new" uniforms. Isn't it some sort of "color surge" initiative the NFL is doing and they pick two teams every couple of weeks to wear a solid color?

I don't mind the tops, actually, they are better than the black ones. What I really don't like is those stupid two-tone helmets. If they want to play with the color on the helmets, use black helmets for the white and/or gold tops, and use gold with the black tops.

But, really, there is a reason no one else (NOBODY) uses those monstrosities, they are butt-ugly.

PS, gold is cooler than the black shirts, good point by earlier poster.

I think the jags have bigger problems than what color their uniform is. When is the team moving? Lights out... at least you got a renovated gator bowl out of it...

CubsFan20 ... true, there are other issues besides uniform color. The thing is, color does matter. There is a psychology behind it for the players and for the fans. But as I wrote, it was just a frivolous question for a Friday morning prompted in my head when I heard a sportscaster say to Bortles that he could spill mustard on his shirt and no one would notice, and they all had laughed. Obviously a perception of mustard and not Bold Gold.

Just curious -- opinions on the Jaguars in gold?

It beats them being in pink all to h*ll.
