World of Nations Celebration April 29 - May 2, 2010

This sounds cool. Has anyone gone before?

Is this a safe event to attend?

I've been going to this event for the past two years although I will be missing this one. There is a booth representing every nation. You get a sense of different cultures, food, dress, and entertainment in particular. If it is anything like last year it would be worth going to.
I'm not sure what you mean by, is it safe.

Safety= crime.

I was there having lunch when I saw two hoods drop an empty bookbag running off. Another friend had someone try to enter his car while was getting in and my friend had to draw his legal weapon (CCW).

We were at Metro Park for the International Boat Show.......it was fine, no problems that we heard about.
We were at Metro Park for the 4th of July Celebration last year......that was fine also, but was somewhat scary when we left and it was dark.
Metro Park is nice, but is in a part of Jacksonville that I wouldn't hang out at at night!

It a lot of cities that DONT have an event like this. Definitely worth checking. I love the World of Nations event. Hopefully the weather is perfect and the park is packed!

Is Metro Park on Gator Bowl Blvd at the Jax Muni Stadium?

It looks like a great place for this type of event.
