We'd say Ponte Vedra and Mandarin. Unless clothing and makeup are decieving, there are quite a few rich folks that go to the church we've gone to in Mandarin......only our observance.

I think we need a definition of "rich".

Depends on how you measure it.

Per household or per sq foot?

Avondale's houses are generally much closer together than any of those other areas, thus it would pack in more wealth per sq foot of the neighborhood.

Mandarin isn't overly "rich" anymore, fyi. It's becoming very mixed. In 10 years it'll be just another piece of withering suburban sprawl.

But others "rich" areas that weren't mentioned would be: Jax Golf & County Club, Queens Harbor, & Julington Creek.

However, you couldn't pay me to live in those!

Well........come to think about it again, I COULD (perhaps not though) be wrong about the Mandarin area/the church. Middle Class folks can very well dress/look like Upper Class (rich/wealthy), but not be so.
Rich folks to me are: own a very, very nice home (like some of the houses I've seen along the beach areas of A1A), nice car (new Corvette, Sebring Convertable, Lexus, BMW), go to upper-class restaurants, income of $80k+ a year. Rich people also go to Saks Fifth Avenue (and stores like it), not so much (or any) to WalMart, KMart, Target. Rich folks wouldn't be caught dead in those stores!
Now, while living in Colorado, that would have definitely been Highlands Ranch and just driving thru that area, money can be seen all over!

Well, if I made 80k, I definitely feel rich! Oh, and yes, another car of the wealthy/rich........a Jaguar, of course. When you use a remote to open a gate to your driveway......you, without a doubt, are RICH!!

Sweet! I guess I'll have to apply for the "rich" card, once I get my gate installed. LOL

Don't be deceived. Some of those folks you think are rich living in areas you think are rich areas are up to their eyeballs in debt. The only way to measure wealth is to know a person's NET worth. Subtract what they owe the bank and you might be surprised! Of course we are not privy to that kinda information so we fall for the big house and the Jag/BMW/Lexus/Benz. You get my drift.
