Good article about skills needed in the workplace for almost every job:

Critical thinking
Creativity
Communications skills
Change management/ability to deal with change

Unfortunately we don't teach these subjects in high school.

Here are the real C's

Cheap (willing to work for min wage no benefits)
Compliant (willing to putup with any abuse the employer can inflict)
Common (can be easily replaced large supply of labor goes back to cheap)
Contained (not able to quit, desperate for a job, goes back to complaint H1b is the pinacle of this)

It's not taught or encouraged because school is designed to make you an obedient worker who can follow directions. Not a leader or boss

Not really.

Post 2002 meltdown, post 2008 meltdown not really. Whistleblowers are now common. Even in the private sector some have woken up.

Because they are not subjects to teach; how are you going to teach them? Sure, you can introduce the concept to them, but either someone is going to be creative or not, either someone is going to communicate well or not.

I think all of it is just fluff, it is not like humans are all of a sudden different, everyone has some sort of these traits, the article seems like just more crying and whining over a non-objective measurement that has as many opinions as there are people in the world.

None of this except in the most extreme cases, can be assessed during the application process.
