How do you handle that they might get sick of being a reference for you?

Due to unexpected circumstances, I had to reach out 3 times within the past 4 years. Would that make someone angry?

Well one time I lost a job without warning and had to use the same three references over again nine months later. Two out of the three didn't mind but one of them decided to not respond to my email so I had to find a replacement.

I agree every time you get a new job there is always someone else you can use as a reference which means you don't have to use the same people over and over.

I use the same 3, and I don't think they even know I'm still using them because no one has asked. That can't be good for me though
