I can't say for sure as your post lacks details. But yes, it is likely that you will be in a better career position after a year or two of training and experience.

Sounds like you are going to take it. I agree that I'd do the same at this age/life status. I also did that- moved from Chicago to rural NM for a job opportunity. Was a great experience. Ended up meeting my husband there. It definitely sounds like "this is the job I have to offer you, take it or leave it." Hopefully you'll get valuable experience and will be competitive for your next job app.
